The Crime Prevention Website

While I was away on holiday Ben was busy getting the Forum back up and working.  He ran the new Forum silently for a week to see how well the anti-spam software was working. After 70 unsuccessful attacks on the Forum (yes, that many!) we gave it the thumbs up and sent out a message to our Newsletter subscribers.

We’re asking people to sign up and introduce themselves and today I put up a new post about Scam Mail, which relates to my news story below.

The Crime Prevention Website is possibly the largest open source website for crime prevention advice on the Net and as you know we have always encouraged our visitors to contribute their ideas and views.  Although I still have heaps of advice still to add, the Forum marks the next stage in our ambition to provide you with the opportunity to have your say and offer up your ideas to help our on-line community. I’ll be monitoring the discussions each day and will respond from time to time, but I’ll also be looking out for the good ideas that will inevitably come along.  Good ideas need to be shared and so don’t be surprised to find your suggestions embedded within the advice pages.

How you can help get your Forum off the ground

  • Please register and contribute to the discussions!
  • Please inform your Communities and Neighbourhood Watches that we’re open for business
  • Please could our police service and local authority followers spread the word to their colleagues
  • Please tweet about the Forum and re-tweet our Forum announcements
  • Please spread the word through all forms of media and help us make the Forum a success

Thank you

Calvin and Ben
