THE POLICING team in Dursley are raising awareness of shed a garage burglaries in the area and are offering to conduct crime prevention surveys of your home.
PCSO Joshua Griffiths, who covers the Dursley area with his colleagues PC Mark Wilson and PCSO Oliver Clark makes the point that Dursley is a safe place to live, but they are committed to raise awareness of particular crimes and want to work with you to reduce them.
If you would like to receive a home visit to check your security you can email Joshua on joshua.griffiths@gloucestershire.pnn.police.uk
TCPW Comment: It’s good to see Dursley police offering to visit people’s homes to check their security, as this service is not offered as often as it used to be (budget cuts haven’t helped). Taking up the offer will also mean you’ll get to meet your local police and find out what sort of crimes are happening in the area.
If this is something you would rather not do then you can always carry out your own anonymous and free survey using the application on this website. On submission you’ll be sent a security report and risk assessment score and you can use the report to start making those much needed improvements.
