If you live in London or the South East you may have heard in the news about the disappearance of Gordon Semple, a former police colleague of mine.
Gordon, who’s a serving Metropolitan police officer working at Westminster City Council with the anti-social behaviour team, has not been seen since he left a meeting at the Shangri La Hotel in the Shard at 12:00 hrs on Friday 1st of April. His last known location was Southwark Street at 15:00 hrs.
He was reported missing by his partner when he failed to return home after work to Greenhithe in Kent.
The Metropolitan police have said that the investigation to find Mr Semple continues to be treated as a high-risk missing person's inquiry, but due to concerns for his welfare, the Homicide and Major Crime Command is now leading the efforts to find him.
Gordon, who is 59 years old, is described as white, 5ft 10in, of large build with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing brown shoes, dark trousers and a lilac shirt.
Gordon is a very pleasant and friendly man and his disappearance is completely out of character for him.
Obviously everyone is extremely worried about his welfare and so if you have any information that could help the enquiry please call Westminster police on 101 or Missing People on 116000 quoting ref 16MIS013292. If you wish to remain anonymous please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
His family have set up a Facebook page at this link https://www.facebook.com/gordonsemplemissing/info?tab=page_info
