You may remember that during November, December and January our website was running a draw prize competition to win one of four light switch timers that had been generously donated by our friend and supporter, Naiem Dakri, of Switched on Products. These unique and most excellent light switch timers (which were invented by Naiem) convert your ordinary square light switches into a timing device, so you can switch a light on and off when you’re not at home – a very useful crime prevention improvement that needs no wiring skills to install.
Well, it took me some time to track down the four winners and send them their prizes, but now that this task is complete I’m happy to announce the names of the winners:
- Anthea Holloway of West Moors in Dorset
- Mark Eckersley of Leigh in Lancashire
- Christina Palmer of Basildon in Essex
- Anupriya Srivastav of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire
Although all of the winners were delighted with their prizes, Anthea was particularly pleased and in her enthusiasm wrote back to me saying that they had fitted their switch to a back porch light so it will turn on at night and off in the morning. She said “This is a very obvious place for spotting from the road and so it will be very useful when we are away”.
During the running of the prize draw about three hundred extra people completed our Home Security Survey application and so you could say that although most didn’t win the prize they all found out how secure their homes were (for free) and so everyone’s a winner!
Thank you to all of you who did the survey, or followed me on twitter or signed up to our newsletter in order to enter the draw and if you didn’t win this time round do look out for our next comp, which will be starting shortly!
