Last Thursday we registered our One Millionth Unique Visitor to The Crime Prevention Website! I’d like to have said it was Mrs Smith from Dorking (or wherever) and given her a prize, but I can’t, which is a shame. Interestingly, those visitors have read almost two million pages between them, which sort of makes me feel all warm and glowing inside, knowing that what me and Ben set out to do has become a reality. Since launch in April 2012 our annual audience has been building steadily and we now expect around half-a-million visits+ a year.
We couldn’t have achieved these numbers without the help of our many individual supporters, including Neighbourhood Watches, Police Services, Charities, Local Authorities and Security Companies, so thank you all very much indeed!
On top of this we’ve also got the visitor numbers in for February 2016, which make for nice reading!
Almost thirty-eight thousand visits were made to The Crime Prevention Website by over thirty-four thousand people during February, which, not counting the extra leap day, is up a healthy 7.5% on February last year.
Between them they read fifty-eight thousand pages and conducted about 150 Home Security Surveys.
We’re always looking to see how we can increase our opportunity to broadcast the important crime prevention messages, so if you’ve been thinking about making contact with us (maybe you’ve wanted us to reciprocally link our websites) – NOW is the right time to do it!
Thank you again
Calvin and Ben
