I’ve just received the following message from the Suzy Lamplugh Trust........

Suzy Lamplugh Trust in partnership with Peoplesafe, are calling for nominations for the National Personal Safety Awards. These awards recognise people or groups who have promoted personal safety in an exceptional way.

Do you, your organisation or someone you know deserve to win an award this year? Don't delay!  Awards will be given in nine categories this year, including the National Personal Safety Day Award, Inspiring individual Award and Young Person's Safety Award, as well as two new awards: the Peoplesafe Personal Safety Champion Award and the Safer Campus Campaign Award.

A full list of awards is available on the website, and you can click here for a nomination form.

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on 11 February 2016.

(Nominations should be sent to awards@suzylamplugh.org)

Rachel Griffin, Director of Suzy Lamplugh Trust, says: “The awards are a fantastic way to highlight good practice across all sectors and to recognise the hard work of various individuals and agencies that promote and ensure personal safety."

The winners will be announced on the afternoon of 17 March 2016 in London. Finalists will be alerted by 22 February so they can make their plans to attend what promises to be an inspiring event.

Peoplesafe (http://www.peoplesafe.co.uk/) sponsor this year’s awards. Ian Johannessen, Managing Director, said, “We are delighted to be involved with these awards and to be extending our collaboration with Suzy Lamplugh Trust, who are synonymous with campaigns for personal safety. At Peoplesafe, like the Trust, the safety of individuals is at the very heart of everything we do. So the opportunity to sponsor these awards is warmly welcomed.”
