Some of my more ardent followers may have noticed an absence of news stories during the past week or so. Sorry about that! It’s a good thing that I’ve been running my already written ‘Xmas cometh’ tips as otherwise my news pages would have been blank!
The reason for the absence has been (apart from a conference and a consulting job) a minor gas link. I say ‘minor’ in that we didn’t blow up and no matter how minor a leak it might have been a gas leak is never something you want to muck about with. So, Paul the plumber shut off the supply to our gas hob and dug up the kitchen floor to lay a new supply pipe. Then the guy from Kingshill Carpets came to lay some brand new flooring, which involved me lifting up the old (expensive, grrr) flooring, moving out the dishwasher and washing machine and partially dismantling the kitchen units. What a nightmare and hence why I’ve not been about these past few days.
Normal service will be resumed next week after I’ve adjusted and re-hung the kitchen door.
