The Crime Prevention Website

With the terrible events in Paris still fresh in our minds I thought it would be useful to provide you with a link to guidance published by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (July 2015) called ‘Recognising the terrorist threat’.

The guidance gives us information under the following headings and I particularly bring your attention to STAY SAFE: Terrorist Firearms and Weapons Attacks, which tells us to Run, or Hide if you can’t run, and Tell.

Contents:

Threat levels

STAY SAFE : Terrorist Firearms and Weapons Attacks

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED)

Suicide attacks

Chemical, biological and radioactive threats

Insider threat

Cyber threat

My wife has plans to visit central London at least a couple times on the run-up to Xmas and so as Julia has found this advice very useful I thought you would too.
