Julia told me this morning that people have started to do their Christmas shopping. When I said it’s only 11th November she said that I wouldn’t understand.
So, in spite of the fact that I wouldn’t understand I thought it might be useful to post a link to my Christmas Shopping Tips page.
The facts are that the vast majority of us will have a pretty uneventful Christmas shop, albeit somewhat fraught at times, but some of us are going to become the victims of some sort of easily preventable crime. Chief amongst these will be theft from a vehicle, theft from the person (pickpocketing or snatch) or simple theft; perhaps a handbag being taken from the back of a chair in a busy pub or restaurant. If you do become a victim you’re going to kick yourself all the way home.
To avoid self mutilation and a great deal of angst do please read through my short checklist before you shop. Hopefully one or two things will stick and you’ll have a totally uneventful day.
