Shock horror!
This morning I went out to my car and found it unlocked!
How could this have happened? After all, I’m a retired policeman and operate a crime prevention website, so I should know better!
It could have been forgetfulness, but equally it could have been an accidental press on the button as I came in through the front door.
Because I came home with a couple bags in my hand last night I rather think it was the second reason for the mistake and playing around with the fob this morning I realised just how easy it is to accidentally press the fob. I was already in the house with the door closing or closed behind me, so I didn’t hear the locks unlocking or see the indicator lights flashing.
This is something that is easily done, so I thought I would just mention it!
Fortunately my car was untouched during the night – phew!
Do check the security of your vehicles each night and note that it’s a part of your nightly locking up routine checklist - KOPCAR
Sometimes the fob don’t do its job – and neither do I, so I must be human!
