The Crime Prevention Website

This morning I met up with Mr Gary Mumford, the MD of Shield EU Security Doors and Windows, which is a British company with their factory based in Luton. It’s been a while since I last visited a production facility and so for an anorak like me who loves all things security it was a moment of sheer pleasure!

During my visit I was first shown the design process, which included special designs for bespoke products destined for use on listed buildings and this was followed by a walk around the factory floor, which was bustling with activity as doors and windows were moving through the spotlessly clean production facility. Finally I was shown some of the finished products, including a bullet resistant sash window, which had been independently tested in an authorised laboratory using a selection of firearms.

Shield EU specialise in doors manufactured to the well-known British standard, PAS 24 2012 and the various security levels of European standard EN1627, which means they’ve got something for everyone.

If you’re looking for a secure doorset (commercial or residential) or very secure windows then do take a look at Shield EU’s interesting website.
