Today you’ll find a new member listed in our Directory under Window locks and others security hardware and Glazing. Interlock Security is the name and they’re based in Portsmouth.
Interlock Security offers a unique service for those people who want to upgrade the security of their existing uPVC windows and doors. They achieve this by fitting their own patented security devices alongside those installed by the manufacturer and, in addition, can also apply security window film to beef up the glazing. Importantly, and for the security film to work effectively, the glazing beads are removed along with the sealed unit and the film is applied to the whole surface of the glass.
Interlock Security also offers a frame repair service to rectify damage that may have been caused during a break-in. This service avoids the need for costly replacements and limits the disruption at a sensitive time.
The man behind the company and the inventor of these new retro-fit security devices is Mark Zimmer. Mark has an engineering background and 30 years of experience in the window and door replacement industry. I first spoke with Mark back in 2009 about his ideas and so I am absolutely delighted to learn that after a great deal of hard work developing and patenting his products the public are now able to benefit.
