I said I’d keep you up-to-date with which counties are taking most home security surveys and here are the results for the last quarter of 2014.
During this period a total of 434 surveys were completed
- England 381
- Scotland 25
- Wales 4
- Northern Ireland 3
- The Islands 1
- Republic of Ireland 4
- USA 8
- Rest of the world 8
In England, the counties with the highest number of surveys were:
- London 36
- Lancashire 29
- Hampshire 27
- Kent 24
- Buckinghamshire 23
- Berkshire 19
- Essex 16
- West Midlands 14
- Surrey 14
- North Yorkshire 12
- Nottinghamshire 12
I am very grateful to those of you who have been promoting the Home Security Survey and I sincerely hope that those who have taken it have acted upon the advice and now feel safer in their homes. The Home Security Survey is simply a ‘starter for ten’ and the free tailor-made report sent to you is designed to highlight those areas that need your attention.
The average risk assessment score for the 3,642 completed surveys since we launched is currently 60.3. If you’re serious about preventing burglary you should be aiming to score 70 and higher.
The number of surveys completed this quarter is artificially high since some of them have only been completed in order to enter our winter prize draw competition. Even so, we would hope that these people have seen the value in the app and will take a few extra moments to consider their security arrangements.
Please could my police and neighbourhood watch followers make a point of promoting the survey whenever they get the chance.
Thank you very much
Calvin
