I said last month that I would be keeping an eye on which counties are taking the most Home Security Surveys, because I thought you might like to know where The Crime Prevention Website is reaching (hopefully the parts that other websites cannot reach)
I’ve had some great feedback from the surveys, not only the odd email (hugely appreciated – thank you), but also the anonymous data I derive from them, which helps us to focus on the things that people aren’t doing right.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and you get sent a security report and risk assessment score. It’s not going to be the same as having a visit from a qualified crime prevention officer but it’s as near as you’re going to get if your police service doesn’t offer that service. Apart from anything else it’s a good ‘starter for ten’ and helps you see where your risks lie.
Here’s hoping you’ll give it a go!
In the meantime here’s the league table showing the top ten counties. I’ve also shown some of the counties where very few surveys are carried out and if you can help spread the message in these places I’m sure the residents there will be grateful
