We’ve known about this link since February this year but whilst we were pretty much convinced that it was from West Yorkshire Police’s intranet site we’ve been waiting for some official confirmation, which I now have!
West Yorkshire Police, just like all the other police services will have policies in place about linking to external websites. Some are happy to link to sites with adverts, some are not. Some will link from their internal intranet site and others will not. We’re just happy that we have an intranet link in place, because this still means that our advice is getting to the PCSOs and the police officers and from them to the public, so thank you to the person who put in the link.
This latest link brings our total of actively linking police services up to thirteen with a couple more to link soon. We’ve got a long way to go before we convince the rest (we haven’t written to them all yet), but this latest confirmation is great news, so look out for stories and information from West Yorkshire Police on our News page.
