The Crime Prevention Website

The Home Officer has launched a new campaign to promote the use of the police non-emergency 101 phone number.  The campaign includes a short information film (see link below) together with radio and online advertising.

All police services now use 101, including Police Scotland and the Police Service of Northern Ireland, and the call costs 15p, no matter how long the call might take or when you make it.

Use 101 to call your local police in a non-emergency situation.

Use 999 when someone is in immediate danger, a crime is happening right now, or a suspect for a serious crime is nearby.
